i just read from various places that in order to keep these tables maintained, you need to oil the spindle from time to time... i was wondering what type of oil to use since im kinda new to this.

i'm pretty sure any kind of machine oil will work.

i use sewing machine oil.

I just got another MK5 so I had the manual handy. Scanned this for ya:

whatever the hell SFW0010 oil is, I don't know! :)
dj chex
hell i use "Gibralto-Lube for pedals" and i think it's not doing a thing. My spinndle on my mk5 is still looser than my m3d's even after oiling with that that junk. (note to self: use whatever panasonic recomends)

That's the part number for it.

That oil thing comes out to 4 dollars or so here where I work ( electronic parts distributor )

Yeah, after so many hours of play time. Says so in the manual...somewhere!

Well if you spin for say an hour a day everyday, then you have to add a drop or two of oil every 5 and a half years. That's pretty damn good if you ask me
Laszlo
2000 hrs? wouldn't it be easy to just say "once every second year". Man, now I have to do some math.......

or not...hmmm...if I use my TT's for 5 hrs EVERY day, I still have to play for five years before I need to get them oiled...haha...that's funny... :)
