Hey-- I'm new to this whole thing and thats why I asked- Are slipmats normally perfectly flat? The reason why I was gonna buy some is becasue my stanton ones that I got make the tonearm raise up and down because they are not "true" or completely flat. It seems as if the edges are tapered.

I've got them and they come with DJ slipmats, but (though I haven't done so yet - I'm lazy) it's a good idea to get other ones that are even thinner and look nicer as well.

Let us know how they work out... Curious as to wether the "new technology" actually does anything.

If you don't wanna order like 250 slipmats at a time from sicmats.com then you could go to djmart.com because they carry the full line of sicmats there.
