Difference between Compilation/Mix-CD/Sampler

| Im a little confused about the different names for a cd..have some ideas but where is the concrete difference between these names? |

Compilation = Unmixed
Mix-CD = Mixed
Sampler = Probably unmixed. |

| Not necessarily. One can be all three. For example, a diverse variety of artists are compiled onto a mix CD as a sampler of the sound for a specific label :) ... in a PROMOmotional (there's another) way! :D |

| Compilation, as I understand, only menas that the CD is made up of a variety of artists not just one... and well, mi CD obviously means that the tracks are mix together.... Sampler, i dont know |

| Compilations can be mixed, but don't have to be. A mix-CD is probably a CD a specific set or mix, such as live in a certain location, or a certain party. A compilation could be part of a series, like Gatecrasher or Euphoria and not be mixed for anything special. |
