The melody in this track just gives me such a good feeling...this might be my all time fav track ever...james holden is such a class producer and this tune will never die
PETRAN
Both are GREAT tracks but not as innovative as holdens other works. "Solstice" has a psychedelic edge "i have put out the light" its beautifully haunting and "a break in the clouds" creates a certain moody ambience. Therefore, while "nothing" is holdens mainstream croosover tracks it doesn't compare to his deeper solo works IMO. the bad thing with him is that he puts out one track a year!!!:whip: :(
Anyway, does anyone know which program is he using?I ve heard he uses "jeskola buzz" a program which i have and i know for sure that buzz has a very row xylophone-like sound. In a matter of fact, nathan fake's and petter's sound also have this jeskola buzz feel.

i only know that he uses a programme which is freeware...so if this jeskola buzz is freeware that's probably the programme he uses :)

I agree that a good track overplayed can be tiring on the ears and monotonous. I wouldn't subject myself to that because it's not terribly diverse -- altho I might come back to it in some point on the future. However, I don't feel it actually *degrades the quality* of the music (using common sense, i.e. it is played from a digital medium ;) ) BUT I do think some mysteries of the music may be spoiled, if you are too familiar with every nook and cranny. You can always come back to it later.

As was explained to me once, there's a reason why strippers have clothes on first -- they need something to strip and are unveiling the power of their mystery.

Who watches Andromeda? Was there not a quote by Trance Gemini saying something tot the effect of, mystery is a powerfully ally?

Likewise, hearing a track too many times DOES take mystery out of it.

*big laugh*

:D

Am I the only one who thinks that the Hiver & Hammer Remix kicks ass?
