I want to get into some self-motivated excercise to build up my petty physique. I don't know what exercise patterns would work best tho. and so i'm asking for you's all to share what you know.
If there's any simple dietary suggestions... those are welcome too.
I already have a set of dumbells, and a bench that does leg-work.
I'm trying to build my arms, chest, abs, back, shoulders, wings (the muscle that I think covers the sides of your ribs.. obliques?), and maybe my calves. I'm 19.

Squats & deadlifts...always work the big muscles, they flood your body with growth hormones and all your muscles will increase in size and strength.
Increase your protein intake. Fish, chicken, steak ...etc

Lift as heavy as good form will allow.

pushups situps

At the gym use the machines, forget deadweights,
consult a trainer at the gym, and go to one of the really big ones, where staff are professional psycicians, not just normal body builders.

Steroids are the only way. Nah, only joking! Deadlifts, pull ups and push ups with weights attached to you. Maybe cleans and snatches if youre adventurous.

This has to be the worst weight training advice I heard in my life.

Leg work outs are essential for building muscle they literally flood your body with chemicals that build your muscle up...

anaerobic hormones are essential thats why every body duilder has massive amounts of Testosterone <---spell check???

doesnt matter you know what I mean...

I find chin ups really great... they best way to build your biceps is to use them as a secondary muscle... (as in bench press, shoulder workouts, back workouts...)

but no matter what u must eat right and do lots of cardio..........

and make sure you work your abs not for looks but for back security... a good strong stomach will keep your back in check

sorry if i dont make any sense im dead tired

If you're looking to build muscle, there's no need to do any form of cardio. As long as you eat right, you can keep your weight in check while making decent gains. Doing lots of cardio will only serve to keep your gains non-existent.
