whats with the abandoned gas station? I fail to see the connection with that and ANYTHING remotely to do with ATB other than him not being able to afford a better photo shot and pawning his friend to take a picture for him with his canon powershot he got for christmas :toothless
Algenis
When will Radikal release this in the USA?

This album is amazing. I always hated atb until he came out with Addicted to Music and DJ in The Mix.
DjDeComp
The Autumn Leaves is my favorite, very chill and soothing

Good track to listen to when your alone with someone special:D
The Darklord
Better than his latest stuff (not including DJ In The Mix - still gotta hear that).

i actually posted this on the same thread in the music discussion forum because i got irritated at people and their cheese-o-meter. so don't mind stuff towards the end...

anyway here goes:

Got it a few days ago.
Kinda surprised with the large amount of down-tempo stuff in this album... but nevertheless, I still like it lots.

Collides with Beauty is my fav track. :)
That and Ecstasy/Myterious Skies, too.

Regarding the thing discussed earlier about ATB pumping out tracks quickly, I have to agree that some of his tracks could be polished slightly. Notice I said some. The (majority) rest of them are good as they are and I am glad that he's consistently releasing albums while changing his styles from album to album--a sign that he's still experimenting and crossing other genres of music.

I don't see why some people here are SO eager in expressing their cheese-o-meter on every album/artist thread there is in the forum. If you don't like an album or artist, simply say that it's not your cup of tea or don't comment at all. What the heck is the point of flaming the topic when the only you KNOW there will be other people biting back at you for your response. Okay, there are exceptions such as "DJ SAMMY's NEW ALBUM OMG", because we all KNOW that he's the best DJ in the world *COUGH*... now THOSE you can laugh all you want~
Anyway, just keep it cool guys, geez.

thanks for reading.

1.ATB is not experimenting...it is more than clear he is adhering to a formula.

2.You need to expand your horizon and listen to some other form of trance or progressive. If you already do,please indicate.Because if you did,you wouldnt fall head over heals into ATB.

3.The concept of cheese is arrived by the fact that the song in question is overly formulaic and grose, that it is more than evident,on first listen, that it has been produced for popular acceptance and for making bags of dollars. That is my definition, going by that, this album is cheesy. So the cheese-o-meter is always active in these forums and whenever ppl feel its been activated, they are going to post and express their concern to curb the enthusiasm.

4.I like the album nevertheless, some songs are addictive. But simply noting the fact that most songs on this album has vocals and are simple is indicative enough that ATB is going all out for the popular acceptance rather than breaking new ground. The songs also show no innovation from existing norms. He has gone by the textbook in creating vocal chillout tunes. So,claiming that he is changing styles and experimenting is unfounded.

5.Dont take arguements about cheese too seriously, after all, open your mind and you will realise they could be true.

The main point of my post is to establish to you two things : This album is not groundbreaking and people will comment irrespective of whether it is their cup of tea or not.

i agree with most of your points Algenis but i disagree with one of them, namely #2.

not trying to get into an argument but nowhere in his post did subtledreamer mention that he was head over heels into ATB...he was simply commenting that he liked the album...

whether he was wrong in that ATB was experimenting on new sounds or not remains to be seen...

personally i like this album, but i also listen to music from the likes of Deep Dish, Sasha, Tiesto, Markus Schulz, Armin van Buuren, and the list goes on and on...i hope that doesn't make me appear to be limited in my musical horizons but then again what do i know...
