The Koetsu Onyx Platinum goes for $7,500 USD... The rich audiophile people are nuts. Then again, I'd do the same thing if I had cash to burn. |

speaking of audiophile stuff, the loft in nyc has pioneered clubbing and the koetsu cartridges were handcrafted by a japanese samuri sword maker Koetsu Honami.
| quote: | | He conceived the Loft parties as a series of rent parties inviting only closest friends. This space was an ideal place for audio experimentation. During the 1971 David was introduced to audio engineer Alex Rosner. The precision of the sound system become the standard for every nightclub in the world: tweeter array and sub-woofers. Rosner applied audiophiles techniques to commercial sound and later Mancuso asked Rosner to build two tweeter array clousters. The original system was composed by Klipschorn speakers, JBL bullet tweeter arrays, Mark Lewinson amplifiers, Koestu hand-crafted movin coil cartridges and Mitchell Cotter turntable bases. |
