All I have to say is holy ! Ottawa isn't known to be a techno city but after that onslaught how can you not be?!
Preach had the tough task of playing after Palash who plays a considerably different style. We all know Preach can play prog as well, but track by track he got harder and did he ever keep the crowd going! Ottawa clubs never stay open past 6. Preach kept them going strong til 7:30, and could have kept it going even longer!
Thank you to Mazen (Zing), Preach, and their crew for being so easy to deal with! They were all class acts, and will be back in Ottawa soon enough! |

EXACTLY! while credit should be given where credit is due.. *dope set fo sho*, thank YOU Nick for helping to change the stereotype of this city. Well.. it will always be prog town, but variety is always nice. :D
I don't think it's that people in Ottawa don't *like* techno.. it's just most of them have never really been exposed to much of it.. I even had coworkers asking me today who the hell 'that dj' was.. hehe.. left a big impression on people for sure! I know it made the most sense for him to close given the lineup, but hopefully next time it'll be a prime time set. (in Ottawa.. haha.. his set would have been peak time in Montreal) |
