| Well think of the William Orbit remix of Barber Adagio for Strings. Sweet as a nut. But even taking a classical tune and hotmixing it would be ace if you chose it right. I'd love to try it with Gustav Holst - Mars powerful as f*uck song. Would be v. hard to make it work tho. |

| Besides Trance is a form of Classical music really, I'd say it's the closest thing to Trance which isn't. Obviously not including other form of EDM. |

Well Dervish, while were on the topic of *DM...
can you answer something for me?
somebody was telling me that Aphex Twin is "IDM" (Intelligent Dance Music)
in the meantime somebody was saying that Four Tet is "EDM" (Electronic Dance Music)
now that made sense until somebody else told me that Aphex Twin is "EDM"

IDM? Inteligence is a relitive thing. No idea what IDM is then.
EDM to me is basicly any music which is danaceable and has an electronicly generated component.
I dunno wtf IDM is tho. I mean I could say I belive something was IDM after reading your post but I don't think you could define something as IDM or indeed un-IDM.
Also could something not be both? |

my mom loves deep progressive house stuff like danny howels and more holdenesque stuff as well!!!!!!seriously!!!!She doesn't like trance now as she finds it 2 fast, steady and sometimes noisy. She used to love saltwater back in the day though!!!
