| funny how the only good sets people can point to are getting a bit old now. I think PVD's lost it a bit in recent times, but to see what he could do to mobile-home scaled setting, i'd be there. |

Saying his old stuff is better doesn't necessarily mean his recent stuff isn't good.... |

Yes it does webby :)
His sets of late have been very hit and miss. His fritz sound garden sets never interest me, but they are radio sets, so its different. His live sets that I've heard... some good, some bad. Reflections was absolute rubbish, i dont know what he was thinking. If what all his new music is going to be like, then consider me done as far as pvd goes.
That said... He was my fav dj for a long time, so if he comes to perth, then I will deffinately see him. I need to give him a chance to make it up to me for all his recent crap he has done :)
PVD @ Nature one 2002 beats mayday 2002 hands down :P |

Not to labour the point, but no it doesn't.
Think of it like the high jump at the Olympics. You set the bar really high and jump over it. Come the next jump, try as you might you can't quite clear it.
Sure, you're not breaking records like you were before, but you're still jumping several metres off the ground which is still an accomplishment :) |

PVD has most definitely gone downhill in the last 18 months.... I used to worship the guy - he was the first international I saw, and the one that really got me into all this....he used to have something really special - almost magical....but now, I dunno - something is just missing compared to how he used to be..... And I'm not doing the "I wish he'd play the style he used to play" thing - cos that's not what I wish at all....imho, dj's progress, move on, and change their style...that's perfectly okay....so I don't wish he'd be how he used to be - I just wish he'd be DIFFERENT to how he is right now....right now, he plays the same tracks for months and months, and his track selection is decidedly average.....and I wish to god he'd quit pitching everything up so 3/4 of all his sets sound like chipmunks *lol* I dunno - he just doesn't seem to have much passion anymore....that's my take on it anyway.....
I'm very curious to see what he'll do at Sensation White tho....in that kind of environment and atmosphere I think he's really got an opportunity to redeem himself......here's hoping he doesn't waste it!!! |

| As big as gay kant PVD is, hes partys are normally of high quality, as you always get an up for it crowd with PVD. Like i said if it was a QBH gig and not on NYE i would prollly go. |
