Well I dont like to fight, so this is just my opinon. But how the can your dumbass call that dull, repetitive, and "ongoing". I know everyone has diffrent taste, but just maybe your sucks ass. Dull, talk about dull, dull is 100 singles, that if you take away the title you couldnt tell the diffrnece, repetitive, thats 8 minutes of the same lead synth. winamp is also good for trance radio (but im sure u know that)
also im always checking out www.dj-sets.com i recently found that site. its good for looking at some talented djs ive never heard. the only thing i dont like about the site is that the music quality is poor other than that its good (ohh yeah its also "live sets" i believe) |

| Yeah Im sorry I dont like to fight much either, and especially about music of all things but yeah tastes is tastes i guess but if you dont mind me asking how did you get into music so deep like that because the songs dont change much for considerable amounts of time and they aren't full of energy or anything like that?? so yeah I mean are they even trippy while your stoned either?? |

LOL... I was just kidding, not flaming or anything. I believe taste is taste, and I respect yours as I hope you respect mine. Its good music, its not as broing or dull as you would think, its actually very club friendly. But the shows are so diverse on Proton radio that what you heard an hour ago could be completely diffrent now. And as for music being trippy when your high, ugh I'm tired of hearing that crap, yea music sounds amazing high, but good music is great when your not high.:D

| Ofcourse I respect your tastes, I mean what difference does it make what people listen to you don't really even know anybody that actually does make a huge deal about the kind of music somebody listens to is a complete dumbass from the start anyway so yeah, and as far as music while stoned, i've been into techno/trance now for like 3 years ive only just started getting stoned like a year ago so ofcourse I agree with you that good trance isn't just for when your high but it can be a bonus lol |

| DigitallyImpotent sucks, they're trying to make money to be 'the best' by charging for high quality streaming when others like taw and ets offer that for free by working hard with sponsors and giving people a free radio, you don't pay to listen to something on FM or MW so I believe the free internet radios are those who deserve the listeners |

Saying Di sucks because of their subscription service is a bit harsh, don't you think?
I'm obviously a bit biased since I've been helping out DI for several years but I felt I needed to put in a few words in defence of DI here. :)
Do you know the costs of running such a big station? Do the other stations you mention pay all the fees involved with broadcasting copyrighted material over the internet? How does one secure the bandwidth for the amount of listeners DI has without some $$? How to make sure the people who's input to Di have grown into a full time occupation can still put food on their table? (please, don't state they are making wonderous amounts of profit because they don't).
Sure, Di used a donation scheme before but when Di had to pay all the royalties on a yearly basis at the same time as the lister base grew the income from the donations wasn't something to rely on anymore.
I respect the other stations immensly and in some occasions I know the people behind them personally. But if you where to ask around, I'm pretty sure you would notice that the amount of time and money needed to sustain a good radio station is a rather big issue. Di is just trying out a solution that might help them grow and evolve in the future. :) |

I do understand the massive bandwith & costs involved, I just feel that as DI are the only one to ask people to subscibe for a decent stream, that it's a bit unfair compared to other people who don't have any of the 'pull' of di with regards to sponsors & other things anyway, the subscription service is a bit crappy if you only fancy listening to maybe 1 set a month at good quality though, evolution is the one thing that everyone wants in anything, I just think that by charging where many others don't, that it defeats the object in bringing music to those underprivileged who need to get into it to appreciate it, as they will look elsewhere. |

| Irish I got a question, how comes you guys are against mp3 but your entire playlist (bar livesets) are of mp3s, most of which were taken from the mp3 ripping scene? I see al ot of the playlist threads with the group names in the song titles..... |
