However, if I could I kill the people that killed and raped my classmate, Leah Sousa, days before grade eight started.

Anyone who preys on children should be denied the right to continue living.

but then if you start killing people in the past, you change the future, and who knows it could be worse then the person you killed. who knows.

What exactly have we learned during WW2 that we haven't during the previous thousands of years during which millions of people were killed in wars? We lost some incredible minds during the war, minds which would have made the world a different place today. The war set the world back, plain and simple.

the autobahn was born in ww2 ;)

it brought the economy out of depression.

the atom bomb.. not neccessarily a good thing actually.

edit: also.. from what we've learned from history.. these "incredible minds" often lead to incredible terror... aka, hitler, bin ladin, etc.

WW2 or not.. we would be living in terror either way.

You're both correct but as Kamran said there are a lot of scientific advances because of war. War drives technological innovation, each country trying to out-do the other. Take the internet for example, It was born when the US military created ARPANET during the cold war era and now look where its at. If the US military didn't need a distributed computer network and the need to share information we wouldn't be discussing this right now.

That's the stupidest ing thing i've ever heard on the net. Period. And that's saying a lot. You're comparing a few thousand deaths in Iraq to 61,000,000 deaths in WWII? What's 'close enuf' for you? Because so far, we're at about 0.5% of WWII's death toll.
