I think there is isn't there? Especially balls, I mean they don't even drop until one hits puberty which is very age specific and I don't know how many intellectuals there are under twenty but not many famous ones anyway. Maturity is very linked to age, especially with fruit.
This forum does seem to cater to teenagers and it shows with all the redundant posts, not to say that there aren't some smart cookies here but just a quick look at some of the avatars and signature pictures makes me cringe. Get a half decent thread going and it gets filled with me too, wow and thanks posts, case in point http://www.tranceaddict.com/forums/...&threadid=41580 after a few pages it just gets annoying. Or just plain dumb threads like this one... what do we think, I don't think it is a pointless thread I KNOW it is a pointless thread.
Sorry I don't mean to offend anyone who thinks this is a "good thread", just my opinion. |

I'm planning on buying this card myself. I read a lot of positive user comments on it, and it's not a half-bad card. It was tested by SOS too.
Look at the "m" version though, it has better ADC's/DAC's (as well as some more synchronization interfaces) for 100 bucks extra. If you can get over the fact that emu is owned by Creative, I think this is excellent bang for the buck. Loads of digital I/O, 8 analog in (2 with mic pre-amps, a phono in with hardware RIAA EQ), 8 analog out, 2x midi in/out. DSP chip on the PCI card for FX. I mean, that is fun! If in doubt about used materials, for example the used ADC's are the same as those used in the ProTools I/O hardware. The dynamic range was huge (according to some tests). It's a winner, you can't beat that price: Emu 1820m 499 euro. |

That was my 1st thought -> EMU chip in LIVE! card. That's bad If I must give 400$ for LIVE card but I hope its way better ... I still use LIVE! with EMUAPS Drivers but it costs 40$ :D

first off... there's 17-18 year old people that is many times more mature then people that's 20-25...
and if you find this forum so damn inmature and annoying... wtf are you doing here then??????? |

| are you planning to record anything in? if so the card lacks that qaulity will very little ins. you should try going for a mbox (pro tools) or FireWire 410 (m audio). i heard very good things about that. If you aren't recording anything live or into you should be fine. let me know how it works out for you i always love hearing from regular comsumers instead of crazy engineers sometimes. |

umm why shouldn't you record?
It has balanced inputs, some Neuktrik connectors, aforementioned high quality ADC's as used in protools HD i/o interface.
In tests the frequency response and dynamic room were pretty stunning, and noise floor very low. |

Everythime I come here I ask myself the same question, so to answer you, I come here to try and learn something about trance production but it seems a mamoth task to sift through the . And I didn't say the forum is immature, I said... just go and reread what I wrote and stop being so defensive.
Besides the guy asked what do I think so I am just answering his question. What are you the thought police?
He already has the stupid sound card and if he wants to know about it he should (before buying it) ask someone who knows and seeing as there is no one here who knows he could have searched the internet for some "pro" reviews, it isn't hard.
Alright that is it, I am not getting drawn into an argument with you as I find that immature, not to say that you are of course, so adios thread. |
