Not that I am going to either of these events, but if I was....
I havent seen either of these DJS live so I cant be biased, but based of they're tracks and remixes I would go with Dumonde. |

I'm not goint to lie and I'm going to say straight up I know the promoters of this event -- definitely making my comments biased. HOWEVER, I have to drop my own 2 cents because I have to admit I'm a little amazed.
You can see PVD on average 2-3 times a year on the east coast. DuMonde has never played in NYC before and WHO KNOWS when they will EVER come back. On top of that, the party rolls until 11am where as PVD will definitely not go that long (Spirit isn't afterhours). To boot, Spirit is about velvet ropes, bottle service and dress codes. You let me know where the real music is at...
Time to move on to ticket prices. The DuMonde people could have very well charged $35/ticket. They are only charging $22 because they do believe in the music and what they do. PVD is around $70 for the whole day.
I really just don't understand it..I just don't. Flame me all you want but I close with the fact that PVD is sugar pop. You can here his tracks on KTU and every mainstream compilation disc out. DuMonde is GOD MUSIC, they are energy, they are ing OFF THE CHAIN! |

| davenaves, thats exactly how i see it. PVD will probably be back in NY in 3 months. Who knows when Dumonde will be back in NY. I'm going to Dumonde. |

its a made event, not spirit. plus its gonna be 100% pvd fans since u need cp tickets to get in.
i guess i would go see dumonde if it was another night. |
