I had the biggest brainfart earlier which scared the absolute living out of me!.
I had an exam this morning which ended at 11.30am and I went to speak with one of my friends. I asked if he was ready for tomorrows exam, he asked what exam I was on about. I thought he was joking with me because he usually does but it turns out the exam was yesterday and I completely missed it :nervous::nervous:
I bricks, blue lights and had wooden twins all at once! :nervous:
Have been grovelling with a stuffy old professor for about an hour to let me retake the exam, although the retakes are early in September.....and on the 10th I am off to San Francisco. What struck the fear of God into me when I first realised I had missed the exam was that since that module was a compulsory pass if they didn't let me retake that module I'd have to retake the whole second year of University again!

Idiotic mistake, the first time I havent stuck a notice on the wall saying when all my exams were, and the last time.
The Uni have been pretty good about it and are letting me retake the exam in late August / early September with no penalty. Luckily retakes finish on the third so no chance of it clashing with m trip to San Francisco, wasn't looking forward to losing £2200 worth of plane ticket |

wow at least you're able to retake the exams, i know of many a professor who have a 1-time 1-time only exam policy.... so you were able to retake it..
at least you have from now till August to study and ace that exam :p

Honey, that sucks, but DAMN. Buy a calendar or use the calendar on Microsoft Outlook to schedule dates like this.
I'm glad you're getting to retake the exam, but you're VERY lucky!!!!!!
Good luck on your test, and when you're done... buy a freakin' calendar! |

Got a Palm Pilot on it's way! The thing is it is so unlike me to do this, I usually have everything planned down to the minutest detail, although I have indeed learnt my lesson!

Yes I am pretty lucky, and they are treating it as if it was my first attempt on the exam so if I make a balls up I can retake it again! Though after the hell that was Thursday running around like a blue ass fly I'm not going to even chance it! |

when i was a student, 3 years ago, i had a similar accident. i tought the exam was on the 4th of January, but it was on the 3rd. fcuk! i was out of town, in the villa, 100kms from civilisation, celebrating new year. at first i thought of returning in the morning of the 4th day b4 the exam, so on the 3rd day, i phoned my collegue and asked what was the time & place for "tomorrows" exam! when he told me, that he has just passed it, i almost died. well, several more days were added to my partying. :D we returned home on the 6th of January ;) |
