Problems w/ cd burning

First of all, my question is different than the other 10million threads about CD burning.

I've been burning CDs for a long time now and have probably 150 or so. Before I burn a live set I cut it up into the different songs and then use Easy CD Creator to burn it.

My problem is that when the song changes there is a little skip I hear (the progression from song on the cd to the other isn't completely smooth). I have mixed CDs that I've bought and you can't tell when the track on the cd has changed...on the cds I make there is a skip.

My question is that does everybody get this when they burn a live set or mixed album? And if not, what am I doing wrong?

Thanks!:D

well, dont know exactly for easy cd creator, but in nero theres is two different ways to burn a cd, 1 will result in the little skip, and one will be like a store bought cd with no little skip.
you can write "disk-at-once", which wont have the skip, or write all the tracks separately which will make the skip.
i think its pretty much if you have enuf memory for it to calculate the "disk-at-once" method or not.
since you're not using nero that might not help, but thats all i know

you could also try the free (and great) Feurio: www.feurio.de
There is an english version for dl, too. Looks a bit complicated when you first use it (lots of functions) but it's made for burning AUDIO CDs and works perfect for live-sets

Thanks for the info Dawn!

I do use "disc at once" burning so there is really no space between songs, it just makes a skip sound when the song changes over.

Thnx for the info guys!:D

the problem you had was not the disc at once, but the cutting up of the tracks.
When you have problems with feurio, send me a PM.

yeah i want something that cuts up a set into tracks. does this program do it?
djdawn
you can use it for that, too. But there might be easier programs for that.
The main use for me is making CDs from one huge live-set so I can skip to the single tracks, but with no clicks or skips at the trackmarks...
