u can get the Behringer DX500, it has kill switches, its a cheap and good mixer. but i think you should first train the EQ faders first... then try the kill switches.

yeah I wanted to get the Behringer DX1000 MASSIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But id didnt Im bummed i didnt instead i was stupid and got a stupid beatkeeper which i never use......I think If u wanna dj u should buy the best and the most simple mixer and turntable ,ie. Technics and a Good simple mixer thats all u need...if u can rock it on the simple sjit then u can have more fun when using fancy stuff.....but if u can only rock it on fancy stuff ull probably suck on simple sjit u know (weird heheh) sry

I think what he means is, if you get used to using kill switches to turn off bass etc then if you ever get to play in a proper club, where kill switches are very rare, then you'll look like a bit of a TranceFool (hehe, sorry, couldn't resist! ;)) when you can't turn the eq knob quickly enough.

Dont make jokes abou my name :p. Nastra Azzuro also said that about the KILL switches, understand it now. I will first learn mixing without the switches, later i can use them then :) |

I never even realised until the other day that people actually used kill switches for mixing. I thought everyone used the eq knobs. The only time I would even consider using a kill switch is if I want to quickly take out the bass for a single beat, or something like that, to give an effect in the middle of a song. You can still do this with the eq knob though, you just have to turn it quickly.

yes theses switches aren't necessary and you'll never see anyone in the clubs.

Personally, I wouldn't spend an extra $50 on kill switches. When I mix, I use the eq to fade out the old bassline while fading in the new one; it makes for a much smoother transition that suddenly punching in the bass at full volume like you would with kill switches.
