Use the SEARCH function next time mate.

Anyways, if you read up, you'll see that almost everyone will tell you that any DJ bundle is . If you want a real setup, go for used Tech 12's/TTX1's/pdx2000

everyone can easily recomend the sl-1200. They were the standard over 30 years ago and still going strong. That's the no-brainer deck to get. www.technics1210.com

sl-1200mk2, mk3d, mk3, mk5, ltd, gld, mk5g are all good and are well suited for djing. Plus the sl1200 keeps it's resale value so in the event you want to sell your decks 5 years from now i promise you will get 80%+ of what you origionally paid. Another nice thing, they will last forever!! i you not but i have friends that have owned their sl-1200mk2's for over 15 years and they are still going strong as my 2year old m3d. Get Them!!!

btw stanton's crap series: str8-20, 30, 50, 60, are all crap. they have crappy torque, poor design, won't hold a pitch after a few months, and many many more bads. As for their mixers, you can get a smx-201 at gc the other day for $29.99! Believe me, it's not worth it! I've owned 3 stanton mixers in the past and 2 out of the three died within 6 months. And one of the three that died was their top of the line smx-501, which died less than a week of owning it.

I really don't mind answering the same posts over and over, just ask me any questions before buying so you don't have to end up buying 4 turntables and 3 mixers before you decide to buy something that's good and will last.

I'm in same position, just bought my set up.

For under $1000 Aus dollars -
got two used Numark 1650s (ebay),
bought new - $100 bucks worth of vinyl, a Numark DM-950 mixer and Behringer HPX 2000 headphones.

That doesn't sound like much for the money, but one new numark 1650 turntable over here is in excess of $500. (everything's expensive)

I looked at Spin Cycle too, but believe me, even with my limited DJ knowledge it is sh*thouse. The headphones i MIGHT consider using on my MD player (they are a street style), but the turntables are crap.

Ebay is definitely your best bet.

actually look into record shops, college classifieds, pawn shops, guitar center, and you may be able to find one used for ~$200-$250 if you look hard enough.

i just bought a used 1200 mkII for 255.50 USD on eBay. The offers are out there.

feel what you sayin man everyone is sayin get the technics but i dont know i was checkin and some of the prices for even the used ones on ebay are way more than i have to spend, but ill keep lookin im bound ot find something good for my price range :toothless

Psiweaver
If you find its way more than you want to spend, then save up the money you need to get the good gear, because if you just buy something cheap you'll need to replace it in a year or so and if thats the case then its just like throwing your money away.
Wildfir3
ur right psiweaver but not everything that's good has to be expensive, u know.
U have good turntables here for 370euro each, while technics are still 550euro.
