CPU Help Please!

I can't see my desktop icons! Desperately need help, I just tried adding an active desktop and my icons dissapeared. I tried everything I could think of to get them back... Please someone contact me on AIM: sym2oo1

system restore is off.
and I abreviate computer to cpu. i'm obviously not referring to the central processing unit. |

No, I thought of that.
