what is a Dub genre?

| i remember hearing discussions about it on another board a few years ago. ive never really researched it and now would like to know if u could recommend some artists or live sets , mixes. im curious how it sounds |

| Technically, an Instrumental is no vocals, a Dub usually strips/limits the vocals while integrating new sounds. |

And not to be confused with dub as a style of music, which actually is a heavily-effected, effects-soaked kind of instrumental reggae music. Mad Professor and King Tubby are two fine examples.
But the "dub" in trance as in a "dub mix" means the same thing -- no vocals, or vocals re-arranged in a minimal way. :) |

exactly. the actual dub genre is great. last thing i heard was Dub Side of the Moon, which re-interprets the Pink Floyd classic with roots flavah. |
