Not to get off track (even though it is your thread :) ) I think the simplest answer to that question is that producers use aliases to distinguish different styles of tracks. |

thats one reason
but i think the main reason is so they can release tracks on different labels. lots of labels don't let you release tracks on other labels with whatever name you use to release a track on that label you are signed too.
so if you use different aliases you can sign to different labels and get different deals with each track |
