WOW, Prophecy and Virus B go well together!

I wanted a dreamy pad with a misterious artic breeze sound to it, so I remember the Prophecy had a patch that could be tweaked a little to sound like pure storm wind. I made the patch in the Virus and layered the Prophecy with it. I really like it and it's great to get reminded that a virtual analog is not just for leads, heavy sounds or basses. I think I'll forget about trance leads for a while and start focusing more on nice pads that bring good things to mind :gsmile:. Heck, this sounds like a good intro for an uplifting track...and I've never done one. :)

Maybe like, give us a sample? (err,I stand corrected.)

I may still be missing the point of this thread though.. because you do already have the "show off your patches thread" (this post is not intended to be a thread crap). Maybe you are trying to encourage people to mix old synths with new, and see what they get?

/me wanders off searching for meaning :D

Well, if you read the title of the other thread again, it's trance lead patches...this is a pad :). And yes, you hit the point... mix old synths with new.:tongue2

nice! very nice!

Sounds like a basic Spectrasonics Atmosphere sound

Not surprising though, because that's how a lot of their sounds were made.
RiCo
Oh really? That's cool. I've never played with Atmosphere but I've heard some sounds of it from my buddy in Norway. I wouldn't buy anything from Spectrasonics, though...[sarcasm]I don't want to get sued if my mind "samples" the sound, I remember it for a while and they find out about it.[/sarcasm]:tongue2
thecYrus
is the prophecy only the whooshes in the background? or is it really layered with the virus into "one" sound?
RiCo
It starts blended with the Virus...barely noticeable, and then I push up the modulation wheel so the "wind" starts getting "stronger". :)
