ATB and PVD is playing happily together again. This is what the EDM is suppost to be.

It's about time. Both are talented, no need to argue who has the larger EDM pen0r.

I'm going to this event, since it's in my neck of the woods. Never seen ATB live before, so this will be interesting.

funny how BT mentions Backstreet boys when he helped produce some of NSync's stuff....

ATB - MARRAKECH (new song on atb's new album... kinda growing on me! check it out!)

It's a valid question, and I've scrutinized this as well:

the reasoning behind it is that BT believes that N*Sync are talented singers with utmost professionalism. He isn't the only one, obviously, because Basement Jaxx have worked with JC Chasez as well. Perhaps he does not believe the Backstreet Boys are on that same level. For what it's worth, I like the single "Pop" a lot.

But you're right, it is funny, Porky :)

yeah.. backstreet boys and Nsync are both crap to me.
producing Nsync tracks is more sinful than appreciating cheesy sellout trance...so i beg to ask, who's the bigger sellout? bt or atb?

Sell out this sell out that....

BT is a very good producer. Just because someone ventures out to another genre or works on sometihng of the basis of commercialism doesn't mean their "selling out".

Honestly every artists want's their music to be heard by a broad audience. He saw it fit that this was a way to do it, and did it. Doesn't make him more or less of a producer or ala the "sellout".

This not only goes for BT, it's for any artist, in any music.

So I take it you don't like Force of Gravity, then?

i agree with you, i have utmost respect for alot of BT's productions, it's just that i don't agree with artists bashing other artists. no artist is perfect, each catering to their own audience, whereas some artists have a bigger audience than others. BT bashing ATB and the backstreet boys, when he himself has produced mainstream pop, is a bit hypocritical... that is all

:)

BT, like Moby, is an artist full of contradictions.

Porky, I'm sure if you asked BT how he differentiates between those, that he'd sit down and give you a really well thought-out explanation :). He's not the type to slam something without having a better reason behind it, unlike some artists. While I don't agree with his choice of language, the written word can likely be interpreted differently from how he actually said it. And I don't like dissing music I don't care for either, because someone else out there likes it and music is a luxurious commodity and a sign of a civilization, so I try to be civilized.

Hey, let's face it -- there's a lot of envy and jealousy in the world. The people who cry "sell out" often have empty pockets and they're just blabbering on with b.s. to try to cover up their shameful insecurities and their sad little lives. I prefer a more productive approach as opposed to raining on someone's parade and detracting from their success. I'm a big enough man to realize that.

Maybe someday BT and ATB will collaborate on a project called ATBT!!! They'll dress in classic raver outfits with parachute pants and the hippest sunglasswear and prance around with arched legs!

(it could happen . . .)
