Review of Ferry Corsten @ ZOUK Malaysia 5/14

I was so stoked to finally get to see Ferry spin again since I didn't make it to SPACE in May. It was a magnificent set!! He played mostly new tracks which pleased me. At the end of the night when everyone started filing out the door, he started up again playing Gouryella - Gouryella followed by Out of the Blue 2002. I almost myself! Gouryella was like the best trance song in '99, well to me anyway, and he played it. Even though I was no longer able to feel my legs from dancing non-stop through his 3 hour set, I still screamed my ass off. The club was nice and big but dancefloor unfortunately was filled with non-dancing Asians. Not trying to sound stereotypical but Asians just don't dance. Maybe that's mainly due to the fact that they don't know how or I don't know. It just kinda irritated me a little not being able to get on the floor and do my thing. Sound system was awesome but was lacking one critical element, the cryogenic cool-air blast. I had fun for the most part because I met some cool people there. I don't think I would recommend anyone going to see a big performer such as FC at a club where the majority of the crowd consists of Asians because chances are you won't have room to dance. Be returning to home in 2 days and I can't wait to see TIESTO @ Space then ICON.

Hey! I'm glad that you got a chance to see Ferry. I still wish you could have went to his show at Space.

I don't think it has anything to do with them being Asian. I have a good friend that is Asian and he can dance better than most people that I know...non-stop all night. I watched a PvD video once and the scenes filmed in Japan (or maybe it was China) showed the people going off! It probably had something to do with where you were...Malaysia. By the way...seeing that you are from Tampa...you should know that every now and then the Amp fills up with Asians on the bottom floor and they dance until the lights come on. ;)

Japan is the best place on the planet to club. Everyone is super knowledgeable about the music and they always go off for every track.

I don't know about best place to club, but my brother visited Japan and said that the club scene was definitely going off.
