| It's not really gonna work because your main letter is FAR bigger than the rest, so when the logo is sized down to appear on letterheads/business cards, the smaller text will be unreadable. On a letterhead, the height of the ENTIRE logo would be about 1/2" |

Hmmm good point. I suppose then take out the lettering around the actual logo and just add it under it later as regular writing on the cards when they get printed. :tongue2 |

its rather nice...i like it....
i see alot of creativity there....well done dood...however instead of a fade to white for hte lettering, try a different colour such as grey or something cos the white makes it harder to read the writing..but keep the fade... |

First of all, it's a big "no no" to use photoshop to make a company logo. Photoshop is for photograph manipulation, Adobe illustrator is for drawing and illustrating. It is also the program used for typography and logos.
The text around the illustration of the A is not working at all. Do you want your company name to be part of the design, to get your name out there? If so you need to come up with a way to incoorporate that into the design. Fading text isn't working in this situation, it takes focus off of your company name.
Consider taking the A you have illustrated and using it for the first letter of aquilo. Bah I have no much to say about this....I could go on forever....lol

I agree whole-heartedly with this... Photoshop is the worst program you can use for anything unless you have no other choice and require the power that photoshop has (eg. fancy image editing).
When I used to design logo's and do some graphic work, I used to look for a piece of clip-art that summarized the business model of the company (ie. what the company actual does). I might then tweak the clip-art to better suit what I had in mind. This at least gives the person looking at it a quick idea of what your company does without having to read into it too much. Then you can add the name of the company around the logo. I'm a firm believer in the less is more philosophy so I would suggest keeping the fonts real simple (no fancy gradient fills and like that...).
I don't have much experience with illustrator, but I'm a guru with CorelDraw 2 & 3 just in case you have either (highly doubtful) :D

one tip....
do not use photoshop....
every graphic designer will hate you if your logo does not exist in vector format....lol
use adobe illustrator...so much better for this type of thing...
you have created a great icon...but i think it being on an angle is a bit distracting..... |
