The MK2's have a "click" at the zero pitch point, which means that at about 1mm either side of it the slider will tend to "fall" into the zero point. This isn't a major thing, you can just adjust the pitch slightly on the other deck if you need the slider to be in this range. In the M3D's, Technics got rid of this click.
The M3D's have a pitch reset button.
The M3D's have a Really Useful (no sarcasm there, honest) headshell holder.
Apart from that, they're identical.
If you are just going to be using your own decks the whole time, then spending the extra $50 to get rid of the click is probably worth it. However, if you want to spin in clubs, the standard is the MK2, so you'll need to get used to the click!
You decide. |

Ive got he MKIIs......i personally didnt have a use for the weight on the headshell ( i dont use headshells i use ortofon Concorde DJ carts)or a headshell holder.....plus the extra $$ for it.....
i like the click....and....hmm.....thats bout it.....it performs just as well....and i dont really see a use for a pitch reset.....
but then again thats just my opinion :D |

| you should get MK2's... its the standard everywhere you go and they are same as the M3D... i think the click is appreciable. pitch reset is not necessary and the headshells are unuseful because most DJ's are using ortofon concorde systems... |
