What kind of setup do you recommend?

| Ok, I'm aiming to make $1,000 USD this summer by freelancing computers and working with my step dad(he's a contracter/electrician). What would you guys recommend buy with it to get a decent setup? |

get a couple of used sl-1200s for ~$200-$250ea. and depending on what type of music you wanna spin get a mixer based on that or get a stanton smx-501 for $199 at GC (if it's no longer on sale try to talk them into it and they will let you get it), get a pair of 505 or 520sk for ~$60 and spend the rest on vinyl.
BTW also consider getting a ecler smac30pro instead of the stanton smx-501. It costs $380 at www.pssl.com |

There are quite a few scenarios like yours already in the forum.
1)Get 2nd hand techs
2)Leave about $150 for needles
3)Leave about $120 for headphones
4)get a mixer.
if theres any $ left u can probably even get a pair of freefloats haha and some records.. |
