Chelsea can only but improve, but i think he'll take a little time to settle in.

I like him but his arrogance is going to backfire on him one day... you can count on it...

He reminds me of a fresher and more arrogant Van Gal before his humbling experiences after Ajax...

It had been Ferguson vs Wenger for too long, now Mourinho to add a little diversity :)

watch out, you're getting not only one of the best managers in europe, but also an annoying that only talks in front of the press

as for all that crap about him not celebrating the champions league victory, he said on one interview that there was threats over the security of his family.. makes sense, and it's sad that people make these kinds of threats

Ranieri has gone to Valencia to replace Benitez who is going to Liverpool

I'm most curious about how many players from Porto he will take with him... So far it's only one, Paulo Ferreira, but probably there will come some more in the near future.

I like Mourinho as a manager but you're right, he was at it from day one.

He will be subject to far more media coverage than he has ever experienced, he should weigh his words carefully but he isn't. He is a passionate man who speaks his mind, but the media here will be trying to get a reaction out of him before and after every match, he will be the most studied manager in Britain. He is a great manager but that could prove to be his one flaw, inexperience in big leagues and a failure to keep his mouth shut. If Chelsea get off to a bad start the press will really attack him, and he doesn't have the charm Ranieri had to deflect criticism.

I've found some of his comments strange, like promising the title within 4 years. Ranieri came 2nd to an unbeatable Arsenal side and reached the semi-finals of the Champions League, but that wasn't good enough to keep his job. Mourinho will be expected to deliver one of those two within his first year, yet he promises it within four seasons. Does he realise the sheer pressure of the position he has accepted?!

I'm sure he'll do a great job, but really hope he doesn't. Abramovich has added an interesting alternative to the English league and threatened the old order, but his billions could also threaten the very soul of our league, the oldest in the world.
