hi

came to complain, frustrated ..

was busy with something fun, and was arranging it and stuff, and i deleted the lead..but it took me 30 mins to find out that i deleted the lead , when i was about to arrange the lead in the mix i noticed :(..

poof project gone.
hey cheggy
Did a remix of a track once. The lead was still in midi through my virus. Because I had been usign the same patch on the virus, I hadn't saved it (it comes right back as you left it when you turn it back on). Before I went to bounce the lead to audio, I changed the patch, not knowing that I had not been saving it the night before. My magnificent lead became the init patch of one simple single saw waveform. I never was able to get that lead sound again.

once had a hd crash of my sampler, which I use a lot so complete songs ruined. The annoying side of producing really.

ps : try giving a usefull title to your thread.

I hope this is a joke, cos no offense, but there's a little too much of these comments going around at the moment.

tell me about it...i just finished explaining why its unnecessary...but Dezma did ask politely, more than i could say for some people on these forums...
its one thing to enforce policy but another to do it like a snotty brat...in this case, dezma was pretty chills bout it but seriously, let the mods deal with those individuals and their posts...an occasional reminder of the rules is fine but seriously, if half of your posts, lets say 2 out of 4, is about procedure or the lack thereof, then those individuals seriously have way too much time on their hands...

I don't think that has anything to do with it.. but whatever (his english seems fine to me ;)). Massive is a cool dude. I do have to agree with dezma, (it doesn't really apply to Massive though, he's not really a 'noob'), having descriptive, non-vague thread titles is a good idea. :):D.

Anyways back on topic... I guess this is a good lesson, I don't know how you deleted it, maybe try saving more often, or turning on an 'auto save' feature in your sequencer (cubase has one).

@ hey cheggy it was no joke :conf:
I just made a suggestion because it'll keep the forum more organised and I've asked it friendly. Just imagine everybody having those threads and honestly I can't see the problem with my english too, I guess he thought I could not translate the title or something (which I can  :D )

ontopic : yea autosave is fine but you don't find it on hardware (on most)
Yesterday after some producing I took a break and when I got back to my room I didn't want to continue so I turned everything off but I forgot to save my samples in my sampler so I can redo the whole drumline . These are the moments you just wanna punch yourself a few times. Some synths (like the rm1x and an1x) remeber what you did tho.

no what i usually do is this( when i start something new)..

make a 16 bar loop with lead, pads, perc , bass etc..everything, trying to make a picture how theme should sound.

After doing that , i start arranging and adding.

So during that you move stuff, and sometimes you delete stuff, and i deleted something that i didn't like (first i thought i did that), but later on i found out i deleted the lead lol..so i couldn't undo and i usually save after each change :p.

As for the title, just forget it DeZma was just pointing something out and i didn't bother me, i'll take his point in my next topics.

Because guys/girls..if you wish some respect on these forums, be prepared to give some back.

that's exactly how I work when composing in software but I thought you deleted the leadsound.. you do have to remember the notes and the pattern you used for the lead part? (especially because the riffs/bassline usually have about the same notes)

uh no, i don't know how to read notes, and i usually make leads with the mouse..so if i make them, they better not get deleted coz i can't recreate them.
