a buddy of mine told me that the cd wasnt in fact stolen but he accidently put it in a case with another and forgot were he put it and assumed it was stolen...

suprised noones mentioned the sasha, charlie may & junkie xl combo.
ppl tend to wonder how much sasha does of his own productions - id like to hear it from charlie may's mouth tho
Wretched
On the other hand, the only reason you've ever heard the name Cor Fijeneman is because of Tiesto. One feeds the other, and vice versa.

I don't like him or his music, so I have no reason of concern :D

Yea was about to mention that as well. It's not a coincidence that the main lead in Spooky - Little Bullet sounds so similar to Xpander for instance. I do however believe that Sasha has stated that Charlie and Tom should get most of the credit and not him, since they are the ones who do nearly all of the production. This phenomenon is not uncommon among the big time DJs, since they prolly don't have time to sit in the studio as much. Another example is Sven Väth, who has had producers doing studio work for him from day one. Started off with Steffen Britzke (B-Zet) and Ralf Hildenbeutel (Cygnus X) in the Eye Q-days, and after that Roman Flügel & Jörg Wuttke (Alter Ego/Sensorama) took over.

airwave told me he engineers yves deruyter productions now

i dont understand this, yves deruyter has been in music so long, i would expect these guys to pick it up eventually instead of having someone co produce their stuff with them everytime

ppl have told me rui da silva is behind dj vibe's productions, who is the big superstar dj in portugal

charlie may & sasha is quite an obvious one, i haven't heard that spooky track, but listen to 'pin drop - corporate entertainment', a production by charlie, and you'll reckon some big similarities to xpander. though i think i read somewhere sasha was on his own before the xpander ep and there was some great productions by him around like 'arkham asylum' and 'ohmna' (correct me if this is not true)

and now after listening to the Tiesto album for the tenth odd time i cant find a sound in there that Cor or Gert hasnt been able to replicate in any of their releases...
Can somebody correct me because although i will always think of tiesto as an innovator by way of being the creator of this tech/trance fusion, everytime i hear a new piece of production i just cant believe he has done it.

Replecation, ive heard some friends replicate, marco v, tiesto, and they do a dam good job.
i think tiesto and sasha are in the same boat, as are im sure a lot of other producers. Because of Mr. Sam, Fred Baker is now a big name imo. It's not like tiesto takes all the credit. Im sure Cor has no problems with what he is doing, im sure if he had a problem he wouldnt help tiesto any more. Wouldnt that make sence??? Geert is in the same boat. I think it is stupid though to say ferry/Cor/Geert do/did all of tiestos work. Im sure they all get paychecks at the end of the day that keeps them happy.
I guess this is 1 area Armin does deserve credit since he does produce alone.

Very thought provoking :conf:

I like to think that Cor's sound is just a part of the Magik Music Production
