so... i'm already getting psyched for Burning Man (http://www.burningman.com) and i was wondering if anyone else from TA is going this year?
i'll probably be camping with costume cult, and i'm planning on performing as much as possible throughout the week... maybe even on BM radio again.
so... am i the only one?

rachel i have heard of it...and it looks amazing! i knew someone who went and they said there is a lot of EDM there too.
basically, its an event with a lot of different things- science, art, music and its a festival held in the middle of the desert. there is literally NOTHING there so you have to bring your own water, food, etc etc...it looked pretty cool, i would love to go one year!!! |

hey erin,
LOTS of EDM! mostly psy trance, which is sooo trippy to listen to in the desert. the music gets more mainstream towards the end of the week, when the people who are only there for the parties and the burn show up. there are also drum circles and all sorts of live music/live acts. it truly is incredible.
last year, people even brought swimming pools with them!! and one camp built a roller coaster. i didn't ride it, tho, i was too nervous that it would break down.
if you ever decide to go, let me know!! we can camp together. :)

Burning man is an amazing experence
Heres a pic of me playing at a camp called Illuminaughty. That year, their camp was the best, amazing sound for the desert. My set was during the sun rising, great memory. in the past they had Paul Oakenfold & I think Sandra Collins. I dont think they are around this year which is a shame

i don't think illuminaughty was there last year either. last year, the biggest rave/club camp was Sol System.
@ dimethguy - if getting your brain fried means doing drugs, that's not what it's all about. i didn't try any drugs or drink the whole time i was there, and it was fantastic. a lot of my friends who normally spend their lives in a haze of smoke also didn't really touch substances while there. cuz man... it's a trip by itself, you don't need that stuff!! :D
now if you mean getting your brain fried by the sun, that's a different story... |

i drank and smoked some weed, no drugs were done here
i dont think i would want to do drugs in that extreme climate
its well over 100 degress in the day and in the 40s (sometimes 30s) at night. occasional dust storms with winds up to 60 mph |
