Wow, what a pleasant response!
Opinions on tranceaddict.com strongly discouraged. |

IT will always be fights when you talk about getting a new mp3 player, iPod or jukebox. I have a jukebox from creative, Zen NX 30Gb. Didn't cost that much, the iPod does. The iPos has a hellofa better "looks" and its smaller. The Zen does my job, whitch is playing trance :) But unfortenately it broke, sending it in this week, getting one for free! THe ipod has better firmware, you don't have tou use firmware if you're just using it as a portable device :)
And iPod has this cool thing, you can buy a thing whitch lets you download you photos from your camera and in to the player :)
I'm satisfied with my player though ;) |

It was actually meant to be a little funny but I guess I missed a little there so I'll try again..
Anyway, I'm really happy with my iPod (as you may have already understand :)) and I really doesn't think there is any other mp3 player that beats the iPod when it comes to functionality, look and user-friendliness. One thing that I really like about the iPod is that it really doesn't get old because when a new version comes out with a new firmware you can upgrade the iPod you already have and get all the new functions (unless they're not hardware related) without having to buy a new iPod. I think it's definitely worth the price if you can afford one. Anyway, good luck with your choice ;) |

imo, the ipod is overrated. there are other players with similar capacity, better features and they cost less (for example, the nomad and the RCA lyra). also, the battery on the ipod is $100 to replace once it eventually gives out.
check out the iaudio cowon 300 (nice little player if you're not looking for major storage space. I'm very satisfied with it.)

does your "Zen Xtra" have:
-games
-40 gig drive
-Fast scrolling list
-Light up display for night
-Battery Icon to indicate how much juice is left
:conf: |
It has all of that but games. 40 GB version costs like $270. I got it for 220 w/ rebate.
Why the do you need games? Don't get enough of them? |
