Have you ever had a dream where you're lying on the edge of a cliff and on one arm you're holding a girl (or guy) you love deeply with your heart and whom you've known since childhood.

On the other you're holding a girl (guy) whom you love deeply with your heart but that person has hurt you, a lot and you don't know them as long as the person on the other arm?

You realize, that you can only save one of them and you have to let the other fall to their death. How do you choose which one you save? Can you?

the answer is easy!
let go of both arms and hope at least one of them grows wings on their way down.

jk

the problem as i see it is choice. Even though we're gifted and given the freedom to choose, the choices we make have already been subconciously made by a feeling or a set of feelings.

Our flaw is simply we get the feelings get the best of us and it over shadows our logic and reason were we corner ourselves and overwhelm our feelings. Physically there are alot more chemicals released in situations like this which makes u a whole lot smarter and physically stronger.

Times like these u might be able to save both even though u didn't think u could. For ur argument's sake, the solution would depend on who u love the most at that moment. U would let go of the one that u love most only if you believe that they're going to a better place. Which brings me to another point. Not everyone believes in an afterlife and the idea of an afterlife alarms some people, but it comforts others. This is what makes sense. Put me in that situation and i have NO idea what the outcome would be.

hmmm

if ive been hurt by the supposed "love of my life" then i would definately save the friend cuz its obvious they have been the one constant in my life.....no doubt it would be easily the hardest decision id have to make.

have you ever had a dream that was soooo real you wake up thinking that whatever happened in your dream happened in real life!

i.e. ive had dreams where ive found or purchased something then when i wake up i actually think i have it only to find out it was only a dream.... :(

I woke up this morning having dreamt a CRAZY dream about Michael Jackson, and how he really was a serial killer, & I had seen the bodies, which he stored in the floor of his house. I had gotten pictures of it, played it cool, and then got the hell outta there, on the phones with the highest bidding British tabloid, as I was asking for 10 million GBP. I was scared MJ's bodyguard would have me killed unless I got out quick. In my dream he was also a heterosexual, and masturbated with cheese danishes.

don't ask.....

Based on the given info isn't the answer pretty obvious? You love both of them yet one has hurt you a lot and the other hasn't. I'd choose the one who didn't hurt me.

Edit:
This reminded me of a conversation I had with RJ at the docks last week. We were discussing how a person's worth is defined by the quality of his/her relationships with others. In this situation, the person who didn't hurt you had a better quality relationship with you and that makes the person worth saving.
