| carl cox mixes between tech house and techno. I posted the Space, Ibiza Essential Mix from 2001 because most of it is tech house with a hint of techno. |

What Carl Cox plays isn't tech-house, it's - I dunno - funky-tech or something I guess. :p
Tech-house is house in beat and structure but with heavy tech influences, whereas the funky stuff that Carl Cox plays is the other way round - i.e. tech in beat and structure, but with housey influences. Download Jay Tripwire's promo set (should still be available at www.jaytripwire.com ) and you'll be able to hear the difference. |
