ok, so I just got a job a while ago at this pizza store in town, and after only my second shift, it's just retarded. i'm sure you all know what a 'rush' shift is. well, if you ask me, it's stupid.
you don't know how long you work, so basically, you can't plan out the day worth , and you have no clue how much money you're gonna make on that day, let alone estimate how much for the next week or month.
btw i sit there answering the stupid phones for them and filling orders with their stupid anti-intuitive computer system, which honestly is the dumbest system ever, and an hour and half in, my boss goes "so, do you feel like leaving, because you can now if you want"
what kind of stupid question is that, you're obviously indirectly telling me "it's not cost effective for me to keep you here anymore, because you're still new and can't REALLY help yet, so just leave, k thnx bye, see you tomorrow for your length-yet-undetermined shift".

i get my ass up to go to work for what, an hour and half?
how long is my shift tomorrow? can i even tell? 1 hour? 5 hours? wtf
and get a real computer system going, not one where each coupon listed is limited to less than 10 characters, so they all look the same:

oh yeah, btw, if you're getting an average order of 3-4 pizzas a minute, on a slow day, try to get 2 damn credit card machines, not just 1. that would help, k thnx.

You know you're not obligated to leave early :P
When I was managing stock for a produce store for 6 months they were always asking me if I wanted to leave early; I only did it once I think.
They are in no way allowed to get mad at you for you well... DOING YOUR JOB :P |
