Notice when they screw-up, and they just screwed up large, they issue an apology, and life goes on. Try leaving an account in overdraft for a few days, and all hell brakes loose!!! Our banks are an oligopoly, 4 banks for 32,000,000.00 people, and act as such!! Banking should be deregulated with more competition so that they pay closer attention to the customers!!

word... biggest organized criminals in Canada...

um...no. That would be disasterous and we'd all be banking with U.S. or international banks!

As it is, RBC's size and assets pale in comaparison to the big U.S. and int'l banks....for all of our banks to remain competitive, they need to be few in number, big, and protected by out gov't.

apparently, RBC is release funds at 3 pm EST...and it depends on the bank on when they money will be received, so keep checking.

I ditched Royal Bank years ago after they misplaced my OSAP cheque 3 years in a row while I was at university. Which meant I had to fight to not get kicked out of school for not being able to pay my tuition on time each year. I got the same story from them each year. "Sorry Miss Wallace, we only misplace a few bags of mail each year,so sorry that your cheque was in one of those bags". So you mean to tell me I was this unlucky every year? Come on. Definitely the worst customer service I had ever experienced. I have dealt with CIBC, TD and Bank of Montreal since and they have all provide far better service.

Wow it sounds like your life is over just because your pay got delayed for a couple of days.

I'd hate to see what would happen to the poor waiter if you were at a restaurant and ordered your steak medium and it came medium-rare.

^ Same here, well through President's Choice. I'll be staying with one of the two for my personal banking for quite a while.

ScotiaBank for my business account, which I might end up changing in a few years, we'll see, since their service so far has been lousy.
