Alright, there have been a couple of threads about CD decks, and everyone's opinion on the best one. Unfortunately, right now I just can't afford a CDJ 800 or 1000. I'm looking for a cheaper alternative to the CDJ, but something that is very similar.
A friend recomended the American Audio Pro-Scratch 2. Here is a link: http://www.topdjgear.com/adj-pro-scratch-2.html.
I was wondering if anyone has used these or has any feedback about them. All the features look comparable to the CDJ, and I'm thinking that it would be an easy transition from the American Audio version, to the Pioneer.
Thanks for the help |

pioneer is over. they have not improved their product in a long time. really look into other CD turntables. there are really nice ones, that really mimic the feel of a turntable much more, like the Denons. i would suggesting going to long&mcquade and checking the ones they have on display and comparing features you are looking for.
my only concern with the american audio stuff would be the durability of it. you might look into something more strudy.

yep.. like Richard said. They're only 5 bills a unit too so for less than the price of one CDJ1000, u can get two CDJ100s
they also come with the gino sound effects (the blue buttons ;)) |

I've talked to industry people and from what I hear, the forthcoming Numark CDX Direct Drive CD Turntable is going to blow Pioneer out of the water, both in flexibility and price. Dealers who've tried demo versions have all told me that it is a simply amazing new innovation.
I've yet to try one so cannot personally comment, but from the views of those who have, this is a product to be reckoned with!!!!
