| Going as 2-5 favorite in Belmont today. Haven't had triple crown winner in 26 years! |

| hmm...as much hype as this horse has received in the past few days, i think its as sure a bet as secretariat was...but horse racing is a bit different from other types of bets out there though...theres more random outcomes, meaning that the sure bet can lose quite easily in horse racing...there are subtle factors involved, like smarty jones never raced belmont before or that it could be a slightly wet track and she doesn't perform well in those conditions...i think 2-5 isn't the hardest or toughest of bets but in horse racing, it can kill yah in a heartbeat...good luck... :D |

I think if the race is clean Smarty should win, however a single stumble out of the blocks and a horse can be done, there are quite a few variables that can happen.
I'm pulling for Smarty though, I wanna see a triple crown in my lifetime. |

Yes, i agree...a triple crown in my lifetime would be nice...keeping fingers crossed... |

yah i know what u mean last tripple crown was '78? that was before i was born woulda liked to see one.. well theres always next time right |

| Ouch. That makes about a half dozen Triple Crown wannabes. Gotta wait at least until next year for another attempt. 27 years since last 3x winner. |

seattle slew was the last horse.
I was rooting for Rock Hard Ten something or other horse, the big black one. its late and i cant think of hisname. I think it's funny how some people had 38:1 off of the winning horse and the track probably still came out on top withall the people that lost bets on shorty. |
