| played on the BBC's radio 1 in the UK, DJ's are asked to do the essential mix now and again, and it's considered quite an honour in the DJ world i guess. |

sum ppl dont like the fact that pete is a pioneer.. but not only is he a pioneer, id say he's one of the most influential DJ's around, not only does he promote new sounds that are to his own liking, he tends to promote a new sound for himself and a lot of the scene. and ppl dont like this as they feel that tongy sorta makes his own trends up and takes music to wherever he wants it to be, if you know what i mean. look at his label FFRR, absolutely crammed with ultra classics and massive tracks, respect to the guy |

| Also Essentials can be broadcasted from an event (club, festival...) it's not necessary do it in the studio. And the duration is 2 h. of set, right? |

| Essential mix is the term dubbed for a Dj who puts out a set of tunes that are exactly that "essential" basicallyunes that are a combination of rare, sought after, and "should be in yr box" tunes |
