What do you guys think about 106.7 KDL?!?

So what do you guys think of the station? I hang out up there every weekend with Kai and LHK. I've been giving them some feedback and the music coordinator as well.
I think they've improved a lot from when they started. If you want to help them with the playlist. Go to the website and do their song test. They play samples and then you tell them which songs you hate and which songs you like.
I know it's no Party 93.1 but we can get it there. :) |

If I'm in the car and I'm bored with my music then I turn it on. Like any other radio station it gets pretty repetitive with the rotation but I guess you kinda have to expect that.
Three things about the station that I think are top notch:
1. The DJ's. They are a lot of fun to listen to and some of the commercials that they produce are hilarious. I've called the station and spoken to all 3 DJ's on seperate occasions to get tracks ID'd (tracks from rotation and one from a mini-mix) and they've helped me out every single time. AND they were cool about it.
2. I think they do a pretty good job of promoting the scene here in Dallas. Whether it be more exposure to individual tracks, record stores, local DJ's, local events, major events, whatever.
3. I really like the mini-mixes at 12 and 5. I think there is 9, an afterhours on the weekend, and a Sunday mix session also but, I don't listen to those as often. I have to say I enjoy the 5 a little bit more but Michael J at 12 is nice too because it's stuff I normally wouldn't listen to. I especially enjoy Spin, his style is my style. |

It's the only radio station I listen.
I don't put the radio much.. i usually stick to cds.. when i forget them home then its 106.7fm
being a fan of the global dj broadcasts, this is no 9.31 but it's very close to it:D |

KDL is probably the best station in our area IMO, but it still plays a lot of stuff I don't like, and I think they should play more newer trance stuff. Cloudwalking, White Room, My Religion, Kilimanjaro, State of Emergency, Exit, all that stuff.
I used to also go to the mypuppet.net forums (but not very much) as Macro, and I've seen you around there too, Cubano...
Anyway, yeah, I think it's the best station around, but I do wish they played more real trance stuff. Maybe if they broadcasted ASOT... ;-) |

i like how they had no commercials when they first started to broadcast :crazy:
imo, it's only tolerable during a live mix or from a club :toocool: |

| They need to not jump around so much from 142 bpms to 125. It takes all the momentum out of the music. Tell them to stop ing playing the launch and sandstorm, that is a start. |

| usually when i roll into the Dallas area i tend to turn off my CD player and check out the radio and obviously its KDL,... its nice to hear decent music on the radio,.... Oklahoma has ZERO of this |
