| Use a different kick for starters and work on your perc, hats, snares. Use something other than 808 or things sounding like it. |

I think the song is pretty good, it's a really good arrangment, and there are lots of good elements. The sliding synth thing was cool. The track has a good flow to it.
The biggest problem is the sound; as eulerfx pointed out, do some work on the drums + percs. I would add to that : do some work on your synth sounds and overall production.
I believe that the exact same tune, but with the right sounds ( beefy phat sounds with tonnes of attitude and atmosphere ) and with the mix compressed all to hell to give it punch and drive, would be a really excellent tune.
Production takes a long time to get right, ( and I'm nowhere near there yet myself ); but so does creating melodies and interesting arrangment. You've definitely got that part down, so keep practising dude! I'm looking forward to hearing where you go from here. |
