ok, so maybe its not so related to music but its well influenced from it and cause of the serious in this i thought it would be better if i will post it in this thread.
so im a dj, spinning vinyls for the last 3 years, go to club and all that, but havnt thought about the cause of it for my health aka your ears.
im not here to fright u all, but have u ever thought what the music u hear \ spin on high DB can cause to your ears?
i have a friend who stopped his dj career cause his ears got damaged in sort of way, and no doctor can helped him out cause in like seeing , you cant replace your hearness...
im not going to tell you im going to stop with what im doing cause i really cant, my homepage is still set to juno and my vinyls is my precious things and i really like to spin and all that, but lately i stopped going to clubs and if i spin @ home i do it with lower volume what i used to.
i got to know recently DB beyond 85 can really cause a serious damage to your ears, well i didnt knew that at start.. and thats what i really afraid, cause i dont want to go with a hearing components in early age.
i know some of you may say what the heck he talks about but its all reality & truth.
just wanted this to be discussed here, and know what you all have to say bout this issue. |

There was a post about this in the dj booth forum.
I am a professional Dj- i make my living from it-therefore it makes sense for me to protect my ears
I use hearing protection under my headphones.

Speaking for myself, I've used profesional earplugs for the last 3 years. Always wear them when I'm spinning or go out somewhere the volume is up high. Feels a bit weird at first, with headphones on as well, but you get used to it quickly.
And since I started wearing them I've never had that annoying high sound you get from a night clubbing in my ears even once. |

Well of course when you're around loud music, your ears are eventually going to sustain some sort of damage.
I listen to my music loud all the time. I think that if I did end up spinning in clubs all the time, I'd wear earplugs often. Not all the time, though, unless my hearing began to get affected. |
