Mr S; If you only liked the German beer, you could go to Germany :p
Yeah forgot we've got that coming to AU thread stickied.....that lists some day time activities to do :)

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the australian beers quite a bit too...I even drank a bar out of Carlton Draught. (ask Joel, he was there) lol.
But Heffe-Weissen's are my achilles heel. I can drink a lot of good german heffe-weisse and be totally happy.
ok...I need to stop posting in here...need to go remove the stiches from my shoulder where the drop bear bit me when I was in Sydney :toothless

I'm a Hoegaarden man myself ;) Might go for 1 @ lunch down by Darling Harbour. Nice sunny day, lapping up the water and boats.

If you are flying on United you can drink VB on ze plane.
I liked Carlton Draught better myself. Though I did drink a hell of a lot of Toohey's New while I was there.
You should fly up to Brisbane and try to get tix to the Wallbies match against the hated English on the 26th of June if you want to see a good rugby match. I know I would be there if I was in oz....

Bear in mind there's actually two brands of rugby in Sydney .. rugby league and rugby union. Rugby union is probably the game you're familiar with, but bear in mind Sydneysiders think of the two games as totally separate entities... |

As well they should.
They are two separate entities, with the 15 a side form being the better form IMHO.
League reminds me too much of football over here minus the pads. (My explanation of that sentiment would require a long evening in a pub and several pints to fully elaborate lol). I just enjoy union much more, probably because I was a lineman (equiv of a front rower) in football in high school and I like the bedlam of the breakdowns and rucks.
Damn I need to stop sticking my nose in this thread lol.
