| FC has started doing more original stuff than Tiesto so he's probably going to stay fresher for longer, but Tiesto's stuff will always have "classic appeal" while only Ferry's older stuff will be regarded as classic. |

Ferry...more production work! What a class act.
I think both will be around for a long time, but again Ferry wins this one.
Cheers,

| They're both great, but Ferry is starting to steal the general public's hearts in Holland with "It's time", at the moment. His new electro-influences are universal!:D |

| Right now I like Ferry better, but Tiesto has the better cards for a general audience. This also means that Tiesto has a longer way to fall. |

I think Tiesto's future will be longer than Ferry's. Just because Tiesto is more commercial and anything he does will have a massive public.
I just hope both of them will have a bright future |

| Both but Ferry has room to improve while Tiesto is already at the top. There is not much more he needs to do. |

I voted for Ferry
tiesto is at the top (he's number 1 DJ in the world, for now :p ), the only way he can go is down |

replace the word commercial with popular in the above posts.
They are both great DJs but to the whole world... tiesto is more popular than ferry - probably because of Ferry's unique style recently... the trance Tiesto plays is criticized for being commercial... but it proves the myth that trance has to be underground to be wrong. Tiesto is pushing his diverse tastes of prog, trance and techy weird to a whole new audience.
Tiesto gets asked to perform at the olympics... while Ferry is still asked to 'do' the festivals which have kind of been overlooked this year by MR T for bigger gigs.
I agree that Mr T has further to fall though... and the only way is down. The Olympics will hopefully be the peak in his popularity - maybe not his career - but in his popularity with non-trance related fans etc.
The only way down is actually further up for Tiesto... a case of the balloon growing so big it pops. Whereas i think Ferry (who was before Tiesto on the world dj merrygoround) has kept more down to earth than his former partner in the studio. Almost content to be where he is at the moment... unlike Tiesto who has always been very ambitious in the last few years since breaking out of HOlland on the back of Ferry's success.
I havent answered the question cos its a very stupid one... as both dj's have a big loyal fanbase... one that may lose members when said DJ plays the olympics etc... but how many more will they gain in doing so anywayz. |
