I'm not impressed with this trend. First you have the likes of Boy George switching over to DJ and now Andy Fletcher? Next it will be Andy Bell or even Robert Smith trying to convert. Argh. How funny would that be though. Do you guys think that anyone will take Andy Fletcher seriously? I mean I couldn't take him seriously when I saw him at Giants Stadium for World Violation and Madison Square Garden for Songs of Faith and Devotion, both times he would just stand there pretending to work the synthesizers. Haha. How times change.

some of the fathers of electronica.

I hate when people give all credit to one artist/group.

actually, boy george used to dj waaaay before he started getting booked to play alot like 4yrs ago.. he was spinning during his culture club days..its just that his carees took off with culture club so he didnt go the dj route... and about andy fletcher spinning, i mean give the guy a break.. he doesnt play any instruments with DM, and the group right now is on a hiatus.. if hes a decent dj then i dont see why he shouldnt be spinning... i find ppl like matt darey more of a disgrace cuz his djing is horrible.. ppl like that should just stick to producing.. and i doubt robert smith and andy bell djing in the future.. and even if they do, if they can do it well than why not ? its the ppl jump on the bandwagon and up that is the problem... my thing is, u can jump on that bandwagon but just do it well. :p
