Day 4 of 58
Still in London..
LOL @ Graham's France jerzey idea.. that's fookin brilliant.. maybe i oughta run that idea by John. Anyhow, today was juss spent checking out the British Museum.. unfookin believable the types of works housed in there. got pics of parts of the Parthenon (the rest is in Greece) and the Rosetta Stone. Also saw the grave of Gen. James Wolfe , commander of the British forces against Quebec which was kinda a nice thing to have some type of Canadian cultural connection here.
It's so hard to compare London to Toronto, or perhaps any European city for that matter. London is about 2000 years old with a rich history, but yeah i can't but help to think how much more TO could accomplish if we really tried. Anyhow, i'm juss ranting or whatever now..
oh yeah, i mentioned the heatwave right ? lol .. wells all the chicks are all nice and skimpy cuz of it.. :D (PICS or STFU later). Anyhow, tommorow gonna check out Tate Modern and the works of Picasso, Monet, and Salvador Dali.. also the Imperial War museum which is housing a special D-Day exhibit for the 60th anniversary.
Btw. aside from almost getting hit by cars, i almost got hit by footballs (soccer balls) since everyone is kicking them around the street.
i'll upload some pics as soon as i get access to a USB port and a machine that isn't publicly owned!
ks i can't remember what else i wanted to say so i'm juss gonna end it here..
BRIXTON and FABRIC tommorow baby!! Ministry of Sound when i touch back down here later in July..
cheers mates .. :D

One of my fav quotes..
"Live all you can; it's a mistake not to. It doesn't so much matter what you do in particular so long as you have your life. If you haven't had that what have you had? I'm too old -- too old at any rate for what I see. What one loses one loses; make no mistake about that. Still, we have the illusion of freedom; therefore don't, like me, to-day, be with the memory of that illusion. I was either, at the right time, too stupid or too intelligent to have it, and now i'm a case of reaction against the mistake. For it was a mistake. Live, live!"
-Henry James
Emz, enjoy it!
as for me.. I'll begin my Italy trip Sept 1st in Rome, i've taken time off work already! |
