Anyone know if these puppy's can be hooked up to a mixer?

List of inputs-

(1) digital optical for DVD or CD player, PlayStation 2, Xbox*, or PC sound card (requires optical cable, sold separately)
(1) digital coaxial for DVD or CD player, or PC sound card (requires coaxial cable, sold separately)
(1) 6-channel direct (3 stereo-mini connectors) for 2-, 4-, or 6-channel PC sound cards
(1) Analog stereo-mini for portable CD, MP3, or MiniDisc® player

Back of receiver-

Back of amp-

Is it possible to hookup the mixer with mini-stereo->rca connectors?
Anyone made it work? With decent sound?:nervous:

I think you can but not rca connectors.. you need your soundcard to do that like the audigy 2 ZS platinum soundcard with the external hardware.

Not a problem. I did the same with my monsoon media planars

There are several ways and I don’t know what kind of mixer you have but even the most rudimentary 2 channel mixers have at least one set of RCA outs. Get yor ass to RadioShack and get an RCA to miniplug (walkman headphones) cable. It will have the two RCA connects on one end and a stereo miniplug on the other, they are common and cheap. Sound quality is pretty decent cause it’s a line level in/out but not as good as the balanced (XLR) outs from the mixer

Some mixers have coaxial digital outs (denon, pioneer), does yours?

Anyway, hope this helps.

The Z-680 is a monster you wont be dissappointed

Kool thanx :D
Nah mixer don't have digital coax output. RCA-to-miniplug is my answer. Just to confirm, with this setup, I don't need it running through my PC/Soundcard as DJ Lac suggested? Just pure mixer-to-receiver setup?:conf:

p.s. We don't have RadioShack downunder, it's called DICK SMITHS :stongue:

you CAN. since those logitechs is a 5.1 setup you will only get 2 channels output on the speakers if you connect DIRECTLY from RCA to miniplug (<-- because it only has one 1/8" plug) now the solution would be to get a 3 to 1 plug and get sound from all the speakers.
the problem with this is that it wont be surround sound. it will be more like stereo * 2.5 haha

what i do is that i plug from the mixer to the line-in of my sound card (sound blaster audigy) so that i can get sounds from BOTH my tables and computer without a converter/switch.

but yeah, gotta agree that those speakers are a monster... really, really good for the price.
yujie__
