Britains First DJ - Christopher Stone (1927, BBC Radio)
Very First Record played by a DJ "Clara Butt - Handels Largo"
First use of the word "DJ" was in the Variety Magazine on August 13th of 1941, in the statement ".....Gilbert is a disc jockey, who sings with his records"
DJ'ing is the only profession where the job was already automated. Yep, the first Juke Box was out for production in 1891 "Edison Automatic Phonograph".
THE FIRST MODERN DJ (NOT JUST FADE IN/OUT, BUT TO MIX 2 RECORDS) WAS FRANCIS GRASSO IN 1968 IN NEW YORK AT "SALVATION TOO"
First DJ to Invent the Modern Club-Land experinece DAVID MANCUSO AT THE "LOFT" in New York.
