very true. however, i don't believe architects are in high demand. most immigrants who have a trade skill (construction, electricians, tool & die makers etc) are in very high demand cuz everyone wants to be a professional (suckas)

What?

You guys are only clueing in these type of posts now?? lol

Why not have an Election forum?

Elmo: the problem is that if its in demand or not the governing professional bodies will only accept canaadian or american degrees at face value. There isnt even a way to get the degree re-evaluated. You either retake the degree as if you were just out of high school or get stuck in some minimum wage job.

i don't really come on here much *shrugs*

i believe there are a few colleges / universities that offer 1 year upgrading programs for people who have international degrees, but they're only for very select courses.

Im not saying that the program isn't worth it, but i don't think this will make any dent in the polls.

it has solidified my vote..

you also have to look at the likely-hood of them scrapping this project. We all know politicians make promises when they shouldn't and this sounds like a project that they'd scrap once/if they get into power
Jayx1
well the liberals have a huge record on scrapping promises and programs. At least with these guys there is a better chance of it happening.

Like i said, the conservatives arent perfect but the Liberals have made all sorts of promises that they have never kept, stolen money and even backstabbed each other to try and get elected. Im willing to give harper a chance and believe me when i say i will be just as critical of the Conservatives if they pull anything remotely similar to what the Liberals have pulled off.
Elmo-On-XTC
yeah, imo none of these parties are gonna do a very good job. I'm just not sure who is worse lol

although i wish the election wasn't 2 days BEFORE my 18th birthday

well after the liberals things can only get better. Im willing to give harper a 4 year test.
