1. don't post wave-files here.. use mp3, ogg, .....
2. what should we say about this sample? you can't say the bassline is great without all the things around it. it depends so much if the other things fit well together!
but what i can say to this sample is, that it sounds good for the mid-bass. add a second low-bassline to it and then a bassdrum. then you'll see if the it works together.. ;)
so long

| This isn't giving my subwoofer a workout at all. As cyrus said, the mid is okay I guess but it needs another layer for the sub. |

Yeah, well the sound isn't that bad. It's just that my speakers are just normal home HiFi. |

Hey m8
Listened to your bassline with the headphones (because i always produce with headphones).
The bassline is well, but I need to hear the rest m8. Like a melody or something. Also think you should add an extra layer, or another instrument and use lower octaves or something, or use some kind of bassy pad. Let me hear it when you've put a melody over it!
PS: the best way to give this bassline an extra dimension:
Just take another instrument, with a good bass and then put a
STANDARD bassline (on the rythm of the open hi-hats) in your track. (On a great sounding note)This should sound awesome!
Cheers m8! |
